Louisiana Division of the Arts

The Division of the Arts has served Louisiana’s arts community since 1977 by providing programs, services and support to individual artists and a variety of arts and cultural organizations. Arts and culture support jobs, tourism and education while stimulating creativity, leadership, economic vitality and enhancing the quality of life.

Creative Aging Profile

Louisiana is currently working with the National Center for Creative Aging on the Communities of Practice ENGAGE Initiative. LA Creative Aging will assist arts organizations in developing and providing arts programming for older adults.

Creative Aging Point Person

Danny Belanger, Director of Arts Education and Accessibiltiy

Danny Belanger is the Director of Arts Education and Accessibility at the Louisiana Division of the Arts. He develops programs Arts Accessible programs for all residents of the state. His experience includes fund-raising, program development, grants administration, along with communications. Danny serves as a Program Investment Office for the Capital Area United Way and is a board member of the Hospice of Baton Rouge.
